If you have a good degree in engineering or a related science subject, the University of Cambridge can help you gain the knowledge and the skills to build your career in the nuclear and energy sectors.

The MPhil in Nuclear Energy, sponsored by the Cambridge Nuclear Energy Centre is a one year full-time nuclear technology and business masters for engineers, mathematicians and scientists who wish to make a difference to the problems of climate change and energy security, by developing nuclear power generation.

The combination of nuclear technology with nuclear policy and business makes the course highly relevant to the challenges of 21st century energy needs, whether in the UK or in countries across the globe.

Applications should be submitted through the Graduate Admissions website (http://www.admin.cam.ac.uk/students/gradadmissions/prospec/ from late October until the end of June each year.

There is a range of funding opportunities usually through competitive scholarships and bursaries, for post-graduate students. These are described on the Graduate Admissions website. In addition, there are some scholarships (worth up to £7,000 each) specifically for Nuclear Energy candidates from the UK (see ‘How to Apply’).

4th Year Project Deadlines

 May 2017
Each student submits two copies of Final report plus an extra copy of their technical abstract, plus their log book or electronic equivalent to Group Centres by 4pm.
