Autoignition in Engines

A project aimed at implementing fully the CMC equation in practical engine calculations with complex chemistry, droplet interactions, moving grids etc. A simpler problem of a heptane autoigniting spray has first been considered that shows the advantages of using the elliptic CMC formulation (Fig. 1). We are also collaborating on this with ETH Zurich.
